3rd - 5th Grade
To reduce the gaps in literacy education for students struggling with reading comprehension and structured writing in a way that is holistic and builds community.
A cornerstone of our program is the belief that children need a "village" to support them on their journey to becoming great learners and thinkers. We believe in using our resources (along with other partnerships) to come alongside schools, families, and communities, to become the village that supports 3rd- 5th grade students in Reading Comprehension and Structured Writing. Many student households lack the skills, support, and additional finances to provide support for struggling readers and writers. We do more than tutor in an after-school setting. We also support the school with as needed professional development and the student caretakers with services as well. Our work is a partnership with the school, students, family, and other organizations for the overall well-being of the children and their community. We believe that literacy is a must for all. It's our desire to bring solutions that will make a generational impact. #wearethevillage
Your child will learn in a safe, warm and accepting environment. Our atmosphere enables children to respect themselves and others. Through diverse learning experiences, we enhance children’s ability to learn without fear, be creative, express themselves and develop those critical thinking skills. We know it's after-school, but we have engaging activities to help students gain momentum in their literacy journey. We provide a high quality, educational program, with a focus on structured literacy and fun. #villagethinker_edu
We focus on supporting Title 1 schools and communities in need of free and low-cost instructional support services, and we also believe in inclusion. We have high behavioral standards, meet your children where they are, and provide best practices for their learning. We do it together! #bethevillage
